Transnational Research Study on the relationship between

Mental Health and Youth Participation

The partnership conducted an important research on how mental health can play a role in young people’s social participation and improve the quality of their community actions.

In order to better understand the current situation regarding youth participation in each country involved in the project, all partners decided to carry out both primary and secondary research, employing desk research, online questionnaires and focus groups.

The study strives to promote mental health care access for youth and youth workers, and cooperate between partner countries to find possible common solutions to providing youth with healthy ways to develop their participatory citizenship.

Tools to manage

Mental Health in Participation Activities

In this toolkit, partner organisations share different tools and activities developed, tried and tested throughout the Keep Dreaming project. They incorporate different aspects of mental well-being, emotional intelligence, individual reflection, group work and confidence-building in order to ensure that young people have a positive participation experience.

The activities are divided into different types: getting to know each other, group work, and individual reflection. There are several that incorporate both group work and individual reflection as well.

Each activity has its own objectives, and they can be adapted accordingly depending on group dynamics and preferences. As partnership, we hope that you will find this tool helpful for your participation activities for youth.
